Week 1: Assignment
AUG 29th Review:
I was assigned to the Small Scale Bogie Design Team. For now I will be the only one in this assigned team however I will be working closely with the small scale track team. Tasks were given at the end of class to create team blogs, begin research, and begin brainstorming ideas to present to the class for about five minutes. During a short introduction to the small scale bogie, Professor Furman introduced three main issues with the current bogie system. The first was that the motors would burn out after letting them run all day. Second the tires are worn out because no differential system is in place. Third, there is binding at the joint of the master and slave systems.
